Sucaryl, also known as sodium cyclamate, is an artificial sweetener approximately 30-50 times sweeter than sugar. Discovered in 1937 at the Univeristy of Illinois, it was banned by the FDA for sale in the United States in 1969 but is still available without restriction in the UK and other parts of Europe. This booklet has many recipes using Sucaryl solution or tablets.

Silver covers, black spine with title, front cover has a 1" scratch near the spine, photocopied handwritten text and line drawings, linocut chocolate bar on card stock, numbered on the colophon, signed on the title page, in near-fine conditon.
Book Artist and author Alisa Golden is well-known with many institutions holding her innovative material. She received a BFA in Printmaking with High Distinction in 1985 from California College of the Arts (formerly CCAC). This book is about the fictional, political history of chocolate.
