Original black slipcase with gold label on cover present but shows some wear, in very good condition. Blue cloth over boards with gilt design on cover, very sunned spine, 15 fullcolor tipped in illustrations, signed by the artist Majeska on the colophon, foxing throughout, otherwise in very good condition.
A fine press book on heavy paper, with a translated introduction by Pierre Loving, this book is full of sensual and intelligent poetry, accompanied by tasteful illustrations of partially naked women.

Ray Barrio. June 26/69." Slightly soiled first trade edition paperback, otherwise in very good condition.
A fictional novel describing the family of Manuel and Lupe Gutierrez, Mexican immigrants and their children, describing the horrendous conditions of prune pickers along the Monterey Peninsula and Santa Clara county in the late 60's.

Signed/inscribed by the author to "Loren Lewis, a good friend who I have found has an eye for the same sort of thing I have...Thanks. Jerry Sohl." Illustrated dust jacket with slight wear and some creases and minor chipping in very good + condition, not price-clipped; Black cloth over boards with title and design in color on spine, minor tanning, in near fine condition.
Jerry Sohl (1913 - 2002), was an American science fiction author who also wrote television scripts for such series as The Twilight Zone, Alfred Hitchcock Presents, The Outer Limits and the original Star Trek series. This thrilling book is about the plot to exterminate the entire male population of the world. A classic in the genre.
Decorative Box in Book Form
(Paris): n.p., 1934. Approximately 3 1/4 x 4 1/2". Green textured paper with gilt decorations resembling latches on front cover, more faux brass decorations and title on spine, all edges gilt and molded to resemble book pages showing some wear and pencil marks, interior nicely lined in gilt paper. A very good copy, unique.
London Almanack for the Year of Christ 1868
(London): (Printed for the Company of Stationers), (1867). Unpaginated. Approximately 1 1/2 x 2 1/4". Original red morocco with onlays in cream and green, gilt-tooled throughout, some parts of covers and spine missing, all edges gilt, gift inscription on rear endpaper, matching slipcase partly faded and a few chips to edges, else a very good copy.
These miniature booklets have been published from the late 17th century until the Victorian era, and give monthly information for eclipses, phases of the moon, saints days, as well as lists of Royals and Lord Mayors, bank transfer days and other banking rates. In this copy, there is a folding view of the Royal Dramatic College.

The obituary of Addie Eliza Haley (1868 - 1895) of Buda, Illinois. This pretty little book is both a loving tribute to a young woman who died too soon, and an example of the different style of writing of the 19th century.

Moshe Chaim Luzzatto, also known as Moses Hayyim Luzzatto (1707 - 1746) was an Italian Jewish rabbi and philosopher. His writings showed his deep understanding of the Talmud and codes of Jewish law. After a brief biography, this lovely little book describes his reflections on lovingkindness.

Nelly Sachs (1891 - 1970) was a Swedish poet and playwright of Jewish German birth. She was greatly impacted by the rise of the Nazis during World War II and escaped Germany only one week before having to report to a concentration camp. Her poetry is very lyrical and poignant. She was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1966.
