This is a book of historical interest whereby the author, a "Germanophile", interviewed Adolf Hitler several times and was a Nazi apologist. In 1934 he gave a speech wherein he compared Hitler to Franklin Delano Roosevelt and asked his audience to support German National Socialism.

Book has red cloth over boards, spine slightly cocked, minor corner bumping, a few pencil marks in "Test Chapter", otherwise very clean and neat. Very good condition.
This book was meant to quickly prepare an individual for the civil service exam, in a time where these positions were abundant. Basic knowledge covered includes arithmetic, art, english, geography, government, history, literature, science, and a helpful test chapter at the end.

The book covers basic radio laws, basic theory and practice, radiotelephony, radiotelegraphy, rules governing commercial radio operators, extracts from the Communications Acts of 1932. It also contains many illustrations of transformers, resistors, amplifiers, etc.

Very scarce early nursing journal with a picture of J. Beatrice Bowman, R.N. on the cover. Josephine Beatrice Bowman was one of the first members of the newly established US Navy Nurse Corps in 1908 and became the third superintendant of the program. This volume contains articles on Our Government Nursing Services, Budgets for Private Duty Nurses, Applying Preventive Medicine Early, The Etiology of Scarlet Fever, etc. Includes many advertisements.
