Trunk has been varnished, antique inspired brass handles and protective bars, vampire bat head and wings on trunk cover and edges, inside wood panel covered by snakeskin. Contents include: 8 replica reference books pertaining to vampire eradication, a stack of miniature letters, a folder of miniature replica middle-European maps, a set of wooden stakes and gun, glass specimen bottles and glass tubes containing fake blood samples, and other various miniature items. Both trunk and contents in fine condition.
A distinguished-looking 19th century trunk fitted-out for vampire hunting, done in miniature form. Very charming.

Herbert George Wells (1866 - 1946) is often called the "father of science fiction" along with Jules Verne and Hugo Gernsback. A Year of Prophesying is a collection of 55 essays by Wells, written for newspaper columns between 1923 and 1924. An insightful view of early 20th century history.

The three volumes (red, white, and blue) have a different focus: Vol. I, Youth; Vol. II, Lawyer-Politician; Vol. III, President. The primary material for this work came from Lincoln's writings in 1859 and 1860, as well as other sources. Ralph Geoffrey Newman (1911 - 1998) was a well-known Lincoln scholar who owned a bookstore in Chicago, fittingly called the Abraham Lincoln Book Shop.

Ernest Hemingway (1899 - 1961) was an American writer who won the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction in 1953 and the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1954. This book was a bestseller in America, although it did not get good reviews elsewhere. It did stay at the top of the New York Time bestseller's list for seven weeks in 1950. It is set in Italy after the war in 1946.

Pictorial dust jacket has some rubbing and minor tears with a small stain on the bottom of the spine, previous repair tape on the inside of the cover, price of $5.75 intact with original price marked out, in very good condition. Tan cloth over boards with crisp blue and brown lettering on spine, top edges foxed, some stains on page edges, "First Edition" stated on copyright page, black and white illustrations throughout, otherwise in very good + condition.
Allen Drury (1918-1998) was an American novelist who was a reporter in the Senate during the terms of Presidents FDR and Truman. This is his first novel, which won a Pulitzer Prize in 1960 for Fiction and was on the The New York Times Best Seller list for 102 weeks.

Red cloth over boards with three-quarter brown leather in a deluxe binding of the first trade edition, front board almost detached with some splitting at the spine of the rear board, gilt lettering and decoration on spine, over wear and rubbing to the cover, top edge gilt, both dates on the title page and copyright match as 1910, seal on the copyright page of Conkey Hammonds, black and white photographs throughout, some water stains to fore-edges but no effect on the text, browning and stains to a few page edges and a tear to the last page of the index, otherwise a nice copy in very good condition.
This book contains the chronicles of President Theodore Roosevelt's African expedition sponsored by the Smithsonian Institution to collect specimens for the Smithsonian's new Natural History Museum. In the name of science, Roosevelt trapped or killed approximately 11,397 animals, met many native people and local leaders and also collected flora and fauna over a 10 month period.

The publisher, Emile, was born in 1961 and is an author of books of a unique technique of manufacturing handmade books from unusual materials. He does all his own illustrations, book binding and graphic design. He writes fairy tales, stories and mystical scenes and lives near Moscow.
