Marbled paper over boards, title label on spine slightly chipped, some foxing throughout, page edges wavy, beautiful paper shows chain lines and John Henry Nash watermark, in near fine condition.

This book was composed by the senior students of the class in typography, John Henry Nash Fine Arts Press, at the University of Oregon Introductory note by Arnold Bennett Hall. Education and the State contains the only unpublished manuscript left by the University President, Prince L. Campbell, who talks of his faith in the people of Oregon, the philosophy of society in which he believed in and impressed the thousand of students who came under his influence (from the introduction).
