A charming collection of fairy tales written by Jane Goodwin Austin, born Mary Jane Goodwin (1831 - 1894). Austin came from a long line of Pilgrims and that is the subject of most of her books. She was friends with some of the most well-known American authors, including Ralph Waldo Emerson, Nathaniel Hawthorne, and Louisa May Alcott.
