New York: Minkus Publications, 1961. Hardcover, 9 1/2 x 11 1/2". Blue cloth over boards binder with some edge wear, individual pamphlets combined in one binder (including Russia, Livonia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Ukraine). Issues starting in 1857 going through 1972. While most of the stamps have been removed with corner tabs and glue and tape residue present, there are still a number of stamps starting around 1961, mostly commemorating the Russian space program. Pictures of what the stamps looked like are reproduced. Good condition.

Jacques Minkus was a Polish-born entrepreneur who gave the once-patrician hobby of stamp collecting its mass-market reach. He operated his stamp shop, the nation's largest, at the old Gimbels department store for more than 50 years. Minkus catalogues were comprehensive and had extensive information about the subjects of stamps, a short paragraph about the subject portrayed on the stamp.
