New York: Linotype, 1945. 72 pp. 4 1/2 x 7 1/4". First edition. Decorated paper wrappers, back cover has slight edge wear, loosely inserted presentation slip signed by both the author and the typographer, Paul Bennett, in near fine condition.

This is a collection of newspaper related poety, most previously published but with two poems published here for the first time. Even the title has a newspaper tie-in. Bulldogs and Morning Glories refers to the start and finish of a newspaper night shift. This beautiful little book is set in oblique Electra type, exclusively designed by W. A. Dwiggins, who also designed the book decorations.
