Stiff paper wrappers, staple bound, some sunning to wrappers, laid in printed note, "Christmas Greetings from Meiric & Eugenie Dutton", portrait frontispiece, inserted is a four-page reproduction of the King's letter, all in near fine condition.

An interesting history on the Reciprocity Treaty of 1867 and the historical context of President Andrew Johnson's unpopularity and Secretary Seward's expansionism.
