Decorated paper over boards with paste-down label, eccentric twist-accordion structure that includes laid in instructions on how to read and re-fold the book, illustrations and decorated cover paper by Sylvia Lovell-Cooper, missing aluminum slipcase, designed and produced by Pat Baldwin who signed on the colophon, in near fine condition. Joseph Conrad (1857 - 1924), born in Poland, was a highly regarded writer, best known for his novel "Lord Jim" and "The Heart of Darkness". In this beautifully created miniature, Conrad talks about his task as an artist by way of, “the power of the written word to make you hear, to make you feel” and “before all, to make you see.”
