This lovely book gives a brief biography of Rabbi Moses ben Maimon, also known as Maimonides (1135 - 1204). He was a medieval Jewish philosopher who was a very influential Torah scholar, as well an astronomer and physician. In addition to the biography, the miniature then describes the 4 categories of excellence (perfection) attainable by human kindness.
