Gray and dark blue binding with sculted "S" on front and rear boards in triple board box binding, grey chemise with rounded edge and black lettering, leather and marbled paper slipcase, printed in the original type designed by V. Preissig, illustrated by Alois Bílek, signed by Jan & Jarmilla Sobota on the colophon, all in fine condition.

Using mythology and Biblical references, The Shadow is about the fear that many people have of dying and particularly of being judged and not getting into heaven. Silence is a fable about a man and a demon in an enchanted land. Both were written by American writer Edgar Allan Poe [1809 - 1849].
