Blue clasping box with gilt silver writing and logo on cover and velvet lined, housed inside is a plastic case with the tiny book along with a magnifying glass, a prospectus, and a larger replica of miniature (18mm x 18mm), in fine condition. Holder of the Guiness World Record for Smallest Printed Book in 2013, this remarkable tiny book contains names and monochrome illustrations of twelve flowers found during the various seasons in Japan. The four types of characters used in the book are Japanese hiragana and katakana characters, Chinese characters, and Roman characters. The width of the lines of the text which are printed hidden within the picture on four of the books pages is a mere 10 microns (one micron is one-thousandth of a milimeter).
