Grey paper over boards with 1/4 bound black cloth, gilt lettering on spine, inscribed on the title page to Diane Peterson - a well-known ABAA bookseller, also on the title page is an original drawing by the author, some spotting to page edges, otherwise in near fine condition.

This is the first of four books in a horror series, set in Illinois in 1960 when a group of teens tries to prevent a centuries-old evil from being reborn in their small town. In 1992, Summer of Night was nominated for a British Fantasy Award. Dan Simmons (1948 - ) is an American science fiction and horror writer.
