Handmade paper "cowhide" covers by Beth Herrick and Heather McDuffie of Port & Starboard Press (this is their personal copy), letterpress in caslon type, photocopied drawings onto archival paper, rubber stamps all to make collage-like pages, numbered and signed by the author on the "cow-o-phon", in fine conditon.
Book Artist and author Alisa Golden is well-known with many institutions holding her innovative material. She received a BFA in Printmaking with High Distinction in 1985 from California College of the Arts (formerly CCAC). This book is about the humorous study of cows and anti-cows, changing behavior, and a possibley vegetarian conclusion (from publisher's website). "Someone was to pick cow-for-a-day but all the judges were disqualified."
