First published in 1903 by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, this is the first story that appeared after the apparent death of Sherlock Holmes. Doyle was forced to bring him back to life due to public pressure. Doyle lists this story as number 6 of his twelve favorite stories. It is a locked room mystery.
