Robert Burns (1759 - 1796) was a Scottish Poet, also known as the Bard of Ayrshire. He is still a much beloved poet and was a pioneer of the Romantic movement. He wrote in Scottish and English so his work was widely accessible. His poems were often made into songs, one of the most famous is "Auld Lang Syne". The first miniature book by Gleniffer press was "The Wee Burn", so it is fitting that this collection of his writings is the also the last publication of Gleniffer Press.
