New York: Miniature Dictionary Publishers, ca. 1925. 768 pp. Approximately 1 1/4 x 2". Black leather with crisp lettering on cover and blind stamped rulings running from front to back cover, all edges dyed red, marked as made in France but published by Miniature Dictionary Publishers with the sole agent of M. Minkus in New York, rests slightly open, otherwise in near-fine condition. (Welsh 282, in the Ruth Adomeit collection).

Also known as "One Thousand and One Nights", this little book is a collection of folk tales from the Middle East, most llikely Persian. Some of the more famous stories within are "Aladdin's Wonderful Lamp" and "Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves". Interestingly enough, the table of contents is on the last 4 pages of the book.
