Howard Pyle (1853 - 1911) was an American illustrator and author who was best known for his books for young people and is particularly well-known for his illustrations of pirates. Woman's Wit was originally written and illustrated by Pyle in the 1890s. It is similar to the story of Aladdin and the magic lamp.
