Born as Kurt Siodmak (1902 - 2000), he was a German-American screenwriter and novelist, best known for his work in science fiction and horror genres. He was the younger brother of director Robert Siodmak. Several of Curt's novels were adapted into films, including this one and The Wolf Man. Donovan's Brain was actually adapted into film several times under different titles: The Lady and the Monster (1943), Donovan's Brain (1953), and The Brain (1962).
