William Joseph "Dard" Hunter (1883 - 1966) was an American authority of paper, printing, especially papermaking by hand. He is best known for his books "Old Papermaking" and "Papermaking by Hand in America." This is a short biography written by his son. Both Dard Hunter and Dard Jr. were important mentors to Peter and Donna and this is appropriately the first book under their new press name.
