Dawson's Book Shop was founded by Glen and Mary Helen Dawson in Los Angeles, California. Glen Dawson published his first miniature book in 1949 with the help of William M. Cheney. A beautiful miniature which contains the prayers written at Vailima, Stevenson's estate, between 1890 - 1894. To the natives of Samoa, the ritual of evening prayer is a vital, solemn part of life. Every evening Stevenson's household would assemble to recite the prayers printed here. All twenty devotions are published together for the first time. Included is an introduction by Mrs. Stevenson. No other deluxe versions currently available in the trade as of today (5/22).
